9 years ago today, Leading Lives emerged from under the wing of Suffolk County Council to become an employee-owned social enterprise with values designed to keep our customers’ needs right at the heart of everything we do.
Since then, we’ve provided over 10 million hours of support, won loads of awards, and had lots of fun!
Because we’re employee-owned, our team members can become co-owners of the business which is run by an elected Board of employees. This means our employees regularly feedback from the frontlines to ensure the quality of care we provide for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs is the best it can be.
Staying Fit for the Future.
It is our employee Board who along with the Directorate Team have led on our restructure which we are proud to announce today.
We have taken a good look at how we can best serve the needs of our customers and stakeholders and create the most supportive structure for our teams. Therefore, we are moving our structure away from being locality based and towards being service informed.
From now on, each service line has its own director of operations, more support with back-office functions and we have created a new team leader role to ensure all our support workers have the mentorship and support they deserve to grow and develop in their roles.
The service lines are:
We feel that this restructure will streamline and focus our efforts, so we are better able to continue providing exemplary care and support no matter how challenging the times may be.
We’d like to congratulate those who have moved into new roles today and thank all our team members who work so hard every day to keep making the Leading Lives difference!
