We can support you to live independently and do the things you want to do in the home and in the community through a bespoke package of personal assistant and domiciliary support in Suffolk.

Our personalised home care and domiciliary support services are built around the needs of the individual, ranging from a few hours a week to more intensive support. We can provide a broad range of domiciliary care services including help around the home, housekeeping and with personal care. In addition, our staff are also trained in the administration of some medications.

Our personal assistance service provides high quality, bespoke support so you can be independent in your own home and do the things you want to do in your local community. We are also able to provide support so you can pursue your interests, get out and about and do the things you want to do.

Where support is being provided in the home by a family carer we are able to provide additional home care and respite. We also provide care in the home for people with more complex needs.

Live the Life You Choose

It’s not just about us supporting you just to meet your needs, we can help you to do the things you WANT to do, at home and in the community. We have supported our customers to do some of these fantastic activities:

Caroline visits Thursford Christmas Spectacular

Caroline’s support worker had the pleasure of supporting Caroline to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular.

This very special day out was made possible due to the help and support from Leading Lives staff, who helped support Caroline and her family with paperwork and completing her PIP assessment. This has helped Caroline to be awarded higher payments that have made days like this possible.

Caroline has a very routine life and when awarded the extra money, did not know what to do for social activities as she had never been in this position before! Caroline talked with the support worker about ideas and they planned some day trips out together; this was the first of many to come!

Caroline has always been very anxious and not good with crowds. Caroline has worked really hard with this and was able to enjoy her day out.

Caroline loved looking round the gift shops and bought herself a souvenir Thursford Teddy. She enjoyed wandering around the past times building where she saw mechanical puppets in Christmas scenes and lots of twinkling lights. The show itself was amazing! Comedy, choir and dancing – Caroline didn’t stop smiling all day….

Andrew attended the Remembrance Service at the Royal Albert Hall

We were delighted be able to support Andrew to attend the Remembrance Service at the Royal Albert Hall.

Andrew loves brass bands, the military and is very patriotic. He has been a life-long member of the Salvation Army and over the years has taken part in marches and parades. Andrew’s health has deteriorated this last year and he has not been well enough to go on his usual holiday to the Edinburgh tattoo. Our staff helped Andrew to join the Royal British Legion & he enjoys their monthly news magazine; because of this was able to get priority tickets to the Royal Albert Hall for the Remembrance Service this weekend!

Andrew went with Richard, his keyworker, and they stayed at a fancy hotel just across the road from the Albert Hall – they even managed to fit in a trip to the natural history museum.

Andrew said: ‘It’s been a fantastic 2 days, I loved it”.

Lewis and Alan

One of our newest recruits, Lewis, has done some amazing outreach work with our customer Alan. Lewis has started supporting Alan to access the local boxing club each week and he is learning an excellent new fitness routine, boosting his confidence and having lots of fun at the same time! Alan also got the opportunity to dress in his smart new clothes and attend the amazing Sound City event that took place in Ipswich.

One of Alan’s biggest wishes was to be supported to watch his favourite local football team play. Now with his season ticket (which includes support workers entrance) he is finally able to go and cheer the team on every time, enjoying a fun day out with his support worker.

Wembley Stadium Tour

It was great to have the opportunity to support “T” to go on a tour of Wembley Stadium that he had received as a gift for his birthday. DG, the support worker who supported T to this event is based at his local hub and also supports T from his supported living home. T is a keen footballer and DG supports him to attend any football tournaments that his team are playing in at the weekends. They have a very close bond and shared interests so it was great that they could enjoy this experience together.

T’s feedback from the day:

“Fantastic, I liked looking around the stadium”

“I liked looking at the shirts and I want to go to London again”

“I Liked the behind the scenes”

“I like the trains and the underground”

DG, Support workers feedback:

“Really great day and it was a privilege to support T on his special day out. Thanks T”.

They visited the ITV News, This Morning and Loose Women sets. Stuart said that he really enjoyed himself and “I liked the ITV News set and This Morning the best”.

Stuarts next goal is to apply and be a contestant on The Chase. Go for it Stuart – we think you would be a winner!
