Leading Lives is developing and delivering activities aimed at young people during the daytime, evening, weekends and for holiday experiences. We also offer a personal assistant service to support young people in the home and in the community to do the things that they want to do. To learn more about the personal assistant service, click here.

We want young people to have fun, make friends, learn new skills, and try new experiences. Leading Lives has successfully applied for Activities Unlimited grant funds so we can deliver exciting activities for young people that also give parents and family carers a well-earned break.

Night Hub

Leading Lives Night Hub activities are chilled-out youth groups for young people (13-24) who are autistic or have learning disabilities. The Night Hubs run from 6-8pm during term-time and provides the opportunity for young people to take part in fun activities, try new things or simply hang out with friends. Night Hub is delivered from Leading Lives community hub buildings across Suffolk.

The Weekend Hub (13-24 year-olds)

After a successful pilot at our Lowestoft Community Hub, we are continuing our weekend offer for 13-19-year-olds who are autistic or who have learning disabilities.* The club runs from 10am-3pm on the last Saturday of each month and offers an exciting range of activities so young people can learn new skills and build friendships. It also offers parents and family carers the opportunity to do something for themselves on a Saturday knowing the young person they care for is safe and having fun.

Costs vary depending on how much support is needed, 1-1 support is available. Starting at £15.00 a session for tier one, then £30 .00 and going up to a maximum of £60.00. To arrange an assessment or for more information, email info@leadinglives.org.uk. If you or the person you care for has already been assessed, you can book a place online here.

*At this time, this offer is only available in our Lowestoft Hub.

The Holiday Club (13-24 year-olds)

Leading Lives offered our first Holiday Club for young autistic people and young people with learning disabilities in Lowestoft in 2023. This was so successful that word of mouth sent new people to us on weeks two and three!

We hope to run our Holiday Clubs again in 2025, from 10am to 3pm each day. You will not need to book whole weeks but can pick and choose which days to attend depending on your preferences.

Because this activity is supported by Activities Unlimited we are able to offer this activity at a reasonable cost for all parents. It is also covered by HAF funding, so some young people are able to access this completely free of charge.

Please do feel free to get in touch for an assessment and to get onto our mailing list for future activities via info@leadinglives.org.uk.

Young Person’s Events (13-24 year-olds)

A less intensive version of the Holiday club, the Teen Events offers one-day events during school holidays and half-term breaks.

Each event will run from 10am -3pm, and offer different themes and activities, and opportunities for young people to relax and socialise in a safe space with their peers.

These activities are supported by Activities Unlimited, which means we can offer it at a reasonable cost for all parents. They are also covered by HAF funding, so some young people are able to access this completely free of charge.

However, costs do vary depending on how much support is needed. Prices start at £15.00 a session for tier one needs, then £30 .00 for tier 2 needs and going up to a maximum of £60.00 for tier 3 needs. 1-1 support is available and we do try to work with families wherever possible to ensure full support, so if your loved one has a P.A you would like to attend with them, or a family member who is happy to help support, please do get in touch with us to discuss this.

To arrange an assessment or for more information, email info@leadinglives.org.uk.

If you or the person you care for has already been assessed, you will be able to book a place online here once the next dates are confirmed
