In line with our social enterprise principles, our Community Benefit Fund supports local groups and organisations who share our vision. Since 2013, we have allocated over £137,000 to 62 local community projects. This year, we have allocated £30,000 to the Fund and will award grants for between £200 and £3,000.

After another year affected by COVID, we are encouraging groups with projects aimed at improving mental health through in person and digital community activities, to apply for grants March  2022.

We’re particularly keen to fund nature based activities that have a positive effect on the environment as well.

This can include:

  • mental health and wellbeing
  • community access
  • digital access

This year’s Fund will be focused on suitable projects that support adults and young people in transition with social care needs (e.g. people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, Autistic people, older people etc.) and family carers in the geographical area (i.e. Suffolk, north-west Essex and south-east Norfolk) in which our company operates.

Ideally, we are looking for organisations that have not previously benefited from this fund, or if you have, any such application would need to be for a new / different project relevant to the themes identified above. Particular priority will be given to bids which foster a partnership approach.

The fund will award grants to organisations – charities, community groups, voluntary groups. We will not fund individuals or commercial organisations.  We will award grants to charities, social enterprises and other not for profit organisations.

The application period runs from 1st February to 9th March 2022.

To apply, please complete the application form and return to: gemma.thompson@leadinglives.org.uk
