At the beginning of May we held our first Saturday Club for autistic young people and those with learning disabilities, part of a pilot scheme to extend our services supporting young people to lead the lives they choose.

The club runs from 10am to 3pm at our Lowestoft Community Hub and was attended by by some of our Night Hub regulars as well as some new faces.

First part we Tie Dyed T-shirts, and we completed a treasure hunt, which was lots of fun. We also played a few outdoor games in the sunshine, the console corner was in full swing with Mario Karts & Just Dance on the Wii. Everyone had a great day, the young people were very happy to be spending the day together socialising. It was a really great first session and we have lots more fun activities planned for the coming sessions.

Currently the sessions are only available in Lowestoft once a month but if all goes well we are looking forward to rolling these out across the county. If you’re interested but not near Lowestoft, you can get in touch with us and register to receive information on new openings.
