We are delighted to share we have appointed influential social business leader, Scott Darraugh, as our first external chairperson.
Scott Darraugh has a high profile nationally. He has been supporting the Cabinet Office’s public service mutualisation agenda as an officially appointed ‘Mutuals Ambassador’. He is a leading social entrepreneur and an influential voice in the social business sector and has been active in pioneering change in public health services for over 10 years.
Scott has been the Chief Executive of Social adVentures, one of the country’s first NHS Social Enterprises, since its inception in 2010. He has also been associated with Leading Lives in a variety of advisory capacities since 2012.
Scott will officially join Leading Lives on the 19th October, he says ”I am delighted to be Leading Lives’ first appointed Chairperson. I have a long-standing relationship with Leading Lives and believe the combination of its inclusive ownership and clear social purpose is the magic recipe to make a profound difference to people’s lives in Suffolk.
Leading Lives Managing Director, Lucy Humphrey, says “The Leading Lives Board and Leadership team are pleased Scott is joining us as the external chair. This is an exciting step in the evolution of Leading Lives.”
