Whilst completing her Level 7 in Strategic People Management, Rachel Parker, our HR and L&D Assistant recently completed a case study where she took a deep dive into evaluating Leading Lives and how we can improve our employee wellbeing.

During Rachel’s research, she analysed all of things that we currently do to help employee health and wellbeing. This included things such as:

  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Team challenges (walking challenge etc.)
  • The introduction of the wisdom app
  • The wellbeing strategy group
  • Mental Health First Aiders group

The effectiveness of all of these, depends on the pieces of the puzzle above coming together and working collaboratively, called the CIPD Employee Wellbeing Pyramid.

The pyramid is a visual representation of all factors that can affect employee wellbeing in the workplace. All of these factors need to be pieced to together in order to strive for the best possible employee wellbeing.

As a result of Rachels studies and research, some proposals have been put forward to the Leadership Team that will aim to benefit our team members further in the future. These proposals are now with the Leadership Team and are being reviewed.
