New South West Community Hub is a happy, relaxed place for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults to enjoy activities, learn new skills and grow in confidence.
The team are knowledgeable and have a variety of different skills, offering a wide range of activities to our customers.
Facilities:
Within the Hub
- We have 2 kitchens, a large one for wheelchair users, and a small kitchenette with a table top cooker – ideal for a smaller cooking sessions!
- The Universal Room – a quiet space with a large TV, tea/coffee making facilities where some customer go to relax.
- The Sunshine Art Room
- The Dock Room for life-skill sessions
- There is a customer laptop available, 3 smart TV’s we use to access online armchair exercises and ACE meetings, digital radios, and tablets.
- Two large changing rooms with toilets, changing trolleys and hoists with cubicles.
Within the grounds
- A garden with different ‘zones’.
- A vegetable garden at the rear of the hub with a small patio.
- A courtyard seating area for the Dock Room
- The Summer House, a relaxing chill out zone and our autism friendly room with a quiet garden beside it.
Activities:
The people that use our service have a wide range of interests and abilities and we offer a varied timetable to accommodate this.
There is always have more than one activity going on and customers can choose which activities they take part in. There is room for outside ballgames and garden activities and we often go out to local parks and places of interest.
