One of our customers has been with Leading Lives for a while, to begin with he was using our Support to Live at Home service but he wanted to live more independently so, with our assistance, he moved into his own flat in March 2020.
Since then, he uses our Supported Independence service, who come in regularly to provide support around the home and to enable him to pursue his interests and hobbies.
One of the things he enjoys is cooking for himself. Here he is making French Toast, he is particular about how he makes it and tells us that proper French Toast should not have milk added.
He says ‘I really enjoy living on my own and maintaining my own flat and having Supported Independence to support me each day. I was nervous about moving into my own home, but it was a very exciting time in my life to finally have my own space to relax and a place to call home.’
