Whist recently staying at Burgess House, Jordan and his support worker Barry went to the New Wolsey theatre to see Vamos Theatre’s ‘The Boy on the Roof’.
This brilliant show was created through community conversations across the UK, gathering people’s experiences of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity (ADHD), loneliness, aging, hearing loss, connection and community. It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where acceptance, understanding and love find their way to centre stage.
Jordan said he so enjoyed the theatre and that he was able to experience a different type of show as he had only ever seen pantomimes at the New Wolsey before.
Jordan has ADHD and said he could relate to the show and what had happened on the show.
His support worker Barry said, “It was lovely to see Jordan so focused and relating to the lead character, I’m grateful to have had the chance to take him, it was great!”
Since seeing the production Jordan has been telling everyone staying at Burgess how amazing the show was and about what had happened in the production.
